Episode 1 - Meet my support system

It's so funny how this little human has taken over my life, stolen my heart and my man's, and still has the audacity to keep me up till midnight – here's to me not getting mad and enjoying the sweet pain, lol.

It is 2:36 am, and I just realized I've been doing this mommy thing for a month today. The more I want some me time, the more I want to cuddle with this little fella. And Daddy is doing a fantastic job, but sometimes he gets tired – you'd never know just how difficult it is to raise a child until you have one yourself.

I, on the other hand, can get a little selfish sometimes. I'd hide away for almost an hour in the bathroom to have a mini spa session. During this time, I try to scrub off the dark remains preggy hormones left me, get a warm bath, and admire what a hero I've been. But before you know it, there'll be a knock on the door abruptly ending my special time because boss baby needs me.

Now, breastfeeding is a whole other thing for me, and I've gotten so fond of it that sometimes when she's napping, I just want to wake her up for a feed (be like, say I like trouble – sweet trouble anyways). I should also mention that daddy is the diaper-changing king, but regardless of his skill, boss baby doesn't always like it. Sometimes, it's all smiles and tickles; other times, her screams could be heard from the fifth street.

Morning and evening bath time with grandma is a tug of war Imao – It takes an entire household to calm boss baby when she's fussy. First, there's godmother Ziza, with her long list of funny songs composed just to comfort her. Then, Aunties Bimpe and Uju enjoy carrying and rocking her on their soothing backs all day.

I couldn't imagine motherhood without their help because I fit don ment, and I'm grateful to this sweet little support system for giving me all the help I need (special shout out to hubby, such a great papa).

Motherhood is sweet pain, like I said – a delightful one indeed. However, I'm yet to accept that boss baby has stolen my man, and I will not have a toothless lady do that to me, Imao.
