Hello there, and thanks for visiting Mom Haven!

After dropping the first episode of this last month, I got a lot of compliments – some "wow, it's such a good read," a little bit of "I enjoyed every bit," and more of "you should do this every month."

So, I decided to!

Here I am, starting a motherhood blog and hoping it doesn't flop. Admittedly, I'm a bit worried that this episode and those to come won't be as good as the first, but what's life without fear, right?

So let's get into today's gist.

You know how they say, "the higher the class, the tougher it gets"? That's precisely where I am at the moment. Don't get me wrong, it's so sweet watching my child grow a little more every day and reach new milestones, which will eventually pile up to be a long list of proud moments. However, the sweetness of it blinds you to how much more work is coming.

Right now, boss baby is not really a baby anymore – I mean, of course, she's still a baby, she's only two months old – but she's already growing up. She no longer cries when bathing; as a matter of fact, she enjoys it. So the routine now involves a lot more chatting while bathing or changing diapers, and it's so interesting because there'll be so much laughing, giggling, and cooing, even though we all know she's not really saying anything.

The first few weeks have passed, and I'm learning to do more by myself, so I decided to make a daily to-do list. Of course, things won't always go as planned, but it's beneficial when it does.

Thanks to the long hours of breastfeeding, I've had a lot of time to do some research on motherhood. Boss baby is a Mario when it comes to feeding time; she shows me pepper over my own breast. While she's busy doing her thing, I try to engage myself by surfing the internet. I go on YouTube to watch videos of more experienced mothers and learn new parenting techniques. This has been quite helpful because while I'm taking care of my baby, I have to remain sane, and this research has allowed me to pick up some tips for a healthy postpartum journey.

On the other hand, my less productive feeding sessions are filled with random YouTube videos and Netflix. Speaking of, I've been watching a k-drama series recently, and it has been the highlight of these sessions for a while now.

There are times when my little human just wants to be held all day, which leaves me with no hands to do anything for myself – I rarely even get the time to lock myself up in the bathroom anymore. Since grandma left, I can only get a few minutes to take a bath and get dressed before rushing back to check on my child.

Our sleeping schedule gets better every day, so the midnight shege has reduced, and we're good as long as she's full for the night. She usually sleeps at 12 am even though I always get her full and ready for bed by 7 pm – we usually just get ready and wait till midnight. She then wakes at 4 am, sleeps all through the morning, and wakes up again much later with either a smile or a loud cry. Sometimes when I miss her too much and can't wait for her to wake, I wake her up with lots of kisses.

I'm adjusting really well if I do say so myself, so I'll give myself a trophy for keeping it together for two whole months – it certainly hasn't been easy.
